The fruit growers of South Tyrol - Südtirol traditionally attribute the utmost importance to the integrity of their products and respect for the environment. A group of apple growers from South Tyrol - Südtirol adopted the natural method of integrated production back in 1989, blazing an innovative new trail. Today, integrated production is a consolidated practice in the South Tyrolean fruit-growing sector.

All Marlene® apples are cultivated with the utmost care, passion and respect for the environment, and are subject to stringent controls. The seven standard Marlene® varieties Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Stayman Winesap, Braeburn, Red Delicious and Fuji carry the EU “South Tyrolean Apple PGI” (Protected Geographical Indication) label, proof that they originate from South Tyrol - Südtirol.
