Apple tea

Ingredients (8 servings)

• 4 Golden Delicious or Royal Gala • 500 ml water • 60 g sugar • 1 lemon or lime, juice and zest • 1 slice of fresh ginger.

For the presentation

• 8 slices of apple • 8 round-leaved mint leaves • 24 dried apple slices.


Wash, peel, quarter, core and and thinly slice the apples.
Bring the water to the boil.
Put the sliced apples and the remaining ingredients into the boiling water, bring to the boil and stand with the lid on for about 15 minutes.
Strain and pour into jars.


Garnish the tea with apple wedges, mint and dried apple slices and serve.


Can be served hot or cold.
To make the apple flavours more intense, mix 250 ml water (instead of 500 ml) with 250 ml apple juice.
